Americanism

Remembering Our Veterans

Past, Present & Future

Americanism is the practice of Loyalty or obligation of Loyalty to our people, our nation and our cause, which has been passed down from generation to generation.  But this was something that for some had been placed on the back burner until the tragic date of September 11, 2001.

Each year members present more than 600,000 American Flags to schools and other community groups.

Flag Education and Etiquette:

Flag Information

The flag is the symbol of our country. How many know what the red, white and blue stand for?  Please take a look at our flag information page.

The Pledge of Allegiance and National Anthem

The pledge of Allegiance should be rendered by standing at attention, facing the Flag, and saluting. Persons in uniform should remain silent, face the flag and render the military salute.

When The National Anthem is played or sung, citizens should stand at attention and salute at the first note and hold the salute through the last note.  The salute is directed to the Flag, if displayed, otherwise to the music.
